We are seeking a dedicated and accomplished Yacht Operations General Manager to lead our team and ensure the smooth sailing of our yacht management business. In this pivotal role, you will be at the helm of daily operations, fostering a client-centric approach, driving financial success, and charting a course for strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Client-Centric Leadership:

• Forge strong relationships with yacht owners, serving as their primary point of contact.
• Assess owners’ needs, from cleanliness to special requests, and provide guidance to the operational team to deliver top-tier services.

Operational Excellence:

• Empower and support each yacht captain to uphold safety, reliability, and cost-effectiveness in line with company standards.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance and productivity of the operational team.

Team Management:

• Recruit and assemble a skilled yacht operations team with the support of HR.
• Supervise subcontractors and contractors to ensure seamless operations.

Financial Acumen:

• Analyze accounting and financial data to assess the profitability of our operations.
• Monitor and influence the financial performance of yacht operations against the budget, authorizing expenditures and ensuring financial stability.

Strategic Vision:

• Prepare detailed operational reports for bi-weekly meetings to gauge the performance of each yacht.
• Propose and develop strategic initiatives to enhance yacht management and the company’s industry presence.
• Represent the company at boat shows and industry events to expand our network and influence.

Business Development:

• Identify and evaluate new business opportunities in the yacht management industry.
• Conduct comprehensive research to spot potential growth avenues and stay ahead of industry trends.

Candidate Minimum Requirements:

To excel in this role, the ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:

• Management Experience: Minimum 8 years in a managerial role, leading teams of 10 or more individuals.
• Client-Focused: A strong commitment to client satisfaction and a keen ability to advocate for yacht owners’ interests.
• Yacht/Charter Experience: Experience in yacht or charter management is highly desirable.
• Cruising Expertise: Holding a pleasure craft boat license is a valuable asset.
• Technical Proficiency: A solid understanding of yacht technical aspects is advantageous.
• Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional relationship-building, communication, and diplomacy skills to interact with yacht owners, captains, technical teams, and report to the company director.
• Problem-Solving: Competence in problem-solving and decision-making.
• Professional Demeanor: A well-groomed and well-presented appearance.
• Language Skills: Proficiency in written and spoken English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
• Tech-Savvy: Excellent computer literacy skills and adept at report writing.
• Hospitality Experience: Past experience in hospitality management is a valuable asset.

Location – Asia Yachting is continuously growing its activities in Asia and is looking for a senior yacht broker and junior Yacht Brokers for its operations in Thailand, The Philippines and Hong Kong.

Job Descriptions
• Work alongside senior brokers in servicing new and existing clients.
• Learning all aspects of the yacht sales industry.
• Seeking out new brokerage listings and sales opportunities.
• Attend all the company marketing events.
• Networking within marinas and beyond.
• To perform ad hoc projects as required.
• Preparing and keeping updated brokerage listings to advertise to the market.
• Responding effectively and in a timely manner to yacht enquiries.

Candidate Requirements
Candidate must be hungry with high achievement motivation, emotional intelligence, good organization / time management skill with attention to details and work with maturity and integrity.
• Sales & administration / accounting & legal / hospitality/ customer servicing backgrounds are all welcome.
• Customer-centric mindset, strong ability to network with, relate to and understand high-net-worth individuals.
• Discreet and be able to maintain confidentiality.
• Excellent command in both written and spoken English.
• Outgoing and energetic with strong passion in the luxury or yachting industry.
• Strong interpersonal, social and communication skills.
• Be able to work effectively under pressure and be a team player.
• Previous sales experience within luxury goods sector (automotive, property, jewelry or etc) is an advantage.
• Some yachting knowledge is an advantage.
• International working or previous experience in Asia is a plus.
• Able to respectfully work in different cultural environments.
